Career Services Clothing Closet 2012
(Sept. 12, 2012) Armstrong’s Office of Career Services is accepting donations for its Clothing Closet 2012 program. Clothing Closet is a community-wide professional clothing drive that seeks donations of gently used professional attire—button-down shirts, men’s and women’s suits, skirts, slacks and blouses. Donations are being accepted until Oct. 1, and the public is encouraged to donate.
Clothing Closet will culminate with events on Oct. 16 and 17 in the Student Union where Armstrong students will be given individual career advice and resume-writing instruction, along with an outfit that will help them look professional at their job interviews, career fairs or internships and full-time jobs.
Donations of clothing and supplies for the event have already been generously given by national and local businesses including, Belk’s, Jos. A. Bank, The Limited, Express, Lowe’s, Fine Consignments, Grand Lake Lodge & Spa, Charlotte Russe, Designer's Consignment, Cherry, Fabulous Finds, the Stagg Shoppe, Columbia Outlet and David’s Dry Cleaners.
Individuals can drop off their unwanted professional clothes at donation boxes in the alumni office in Burnett Hall on the Armstrong campus or at Grand Lake Lodge & Spa at Southbridge, 815 Southbridge Blvd., Savannah, Ga. 31405.
