Armstrong to Host InterProfessional Health Care Summit
(March 28, 2013) — On April 4, Armstrong Atlantic State University will host the InterProfessional Health Care Summit, a collaborative gathering of professionals from academia and healthcare practice. Armstrong’s InterProfessional Collaborative Practice Project is funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration Nurse Education, Practice, Quality, and Retention (NEPQR).
Presentations will focus on the theme of interprofessional health care. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. on April 4.
The keynote speaker will be Amy Blue, Ph.D., associate vice president for interprofessional education at the University of Florida. The event will include a welcome from Armstrong’s president Dr. Linda M. Bleicken, the university’s InterProfessional Collaborative Practice Project director Anita Nivens, College of Health Professions Dean David Ward, and Sister Pat Baber of St. Joseph’s/Candler Health System.
