About this event:
Tricycle is an acoustic trio comprised of three master improvising musicians. Their performances incorporate a wide range of styles from the “Jazz” tradition. The members of Tricycle have performed together for decades, playing hundreds of gigs together in numerous NYC bands. They have toured the United States and Europe. They have also appeared on over a dozen CDs together as in-demand sidemen. The high degree of empathy and communication displayed by Tricycle is the result of playing together in so many of these diverse situations.
Collectively the group has taught for over 60 years. Together they have taught master-classes and clinics at places like the Institute for Contemporary Music Performance (London, UK), the Royal Music Academy (Stockholm, Sweden), and the Gothenburg Music Academy (Gothenburg, Sweden). Armstrong is pleased to bring them to campus for this informal performance on the Fine Arts stage.
Admission is free and open to the public.
