About this event:
As part of Armstrong’s Latino Heritage Week celebration, Hispanic Outreach and Leadership at Armstrong (HOLA) and Armstrong AMT are partnering to present an artist talk on the Argentinean indigenous community of General Enrique Mosconi near Salta, Argentina. A gallery reception will follow.

Un Tejido de Nuestras Culturas: Art and Community in Argentina is a student international art exhibition inspired by study-abroad experiences in Argentina. This exhibition includes work by Armstrong students and faculty, Georgia College students, as well as works by our Argentinean host artists.

Armstrong’s Rachel Green, professor of art, says she coordinates this collaborative effort so that “students and artists from the local area invest in service projects with their Argentine counterparts to build communities and use the visual arts as a pathway for exchanging ideas and developing understanding.”

This exhibit is open through September 26th in Armstrong's Fine Arts Gallery.

Gallery exhibition hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays
Admission to the exhibition and to the gallery is free of charge.
