Armstrong AMT culminates the two-day set of musical rehearsals, workshops, classes and performances of its 14th Southeastern Choral Arts Festival (SECAF) with a free admission grand finale performance by the talented students of the Choral Arts Festival Choir under the direction of renowned conductor/composer Vijay Singh.

The recent recipient of his thirteenth American Society for Composers, Authors and Playwrights (ASCAP) Composer's Award, Singh is an active performer, composer, teacher, conductor, and clinician residing in Ellensburg, Washington where he is Professor of Music and choral/jazz director at Central Washington University. He has served 4 years as National Repertoire and Standards Chair for Jazz Choirs in the American Choral Director’s Association and is in demand as a guest conductor of All-State and Honors choirs. Singh holds a masters degree in choral conducting/vocal performance from Portland State University and a bachelor of music education degree in clarinet and voice from Williamette University.

In 2010 upon commission of Armstrong's choral program, Singh composed Proclaim the day, an a cappella work commemorating the inauguration of Linda M. Bleicken, Armstrong's 7th President.

This concert is at 7:30 p.m. in the Armstrong Fine Arts Auditorium. Please be seated by 7:15 p.m.
